VideoPro Film Networks

VideoPro Africa was founded in 2022 with a simple goal: to make film production in Africa easier, more connected, and full of opportunities. The idea came from Louis, a filmmaker who moved from Uganda to Kenya in 2012. While studying at Hotsun Film School, he discovered his passion for storytelling.

Before starting VideoPro Africa, Louis built HQue Media, which became successful in Kenya by creating high-quality videos for clients. Through this experience, he noticed a major challenge in Africa’s film industry—filmmakers had trouble finding clients and teams, and clients faced difficulties filming across the continent. A UNESCO report highlighted these issues and showed the great potential to be unlocked.

This led to the creation of VideoPro Africa: a platform that connects filmmakers with opportunities across the continent. We’ve developed a system to help hire crews, secure equipment, and manage permits, making it easier to create films. Our mission is to simplify and inspire film production, no matter where you are in Africa. As we grow, we’re partnering with producers and industry leaders to build a strong network that fuels creativity. Our aim is to empower African filmmakers to share their stories, make an impact, and shine on the world stage.
